>>41767412>KantoRed and Leaf (or whatever you call the brown-haired girl) both exist, but Red is the protagonist living in Pallet town. He's the quiet, awkward type, focused more on training mons than maintaining relationships with people, but his rival manages to keep him in check, so they balance each other out. Leaf's a bit of a tryhard, looking for rare mons all the time, but can't quite seem to catch up with the boys.
>JohtoLyra's pretty kind and sweet, and always tries to look at the positives to things. She values friendship with her Pokemon the most, and is always itching to go out and explore the world with them. She's also often planting EV berries in her berry pots to raise the friendship of her teammates. Ethan's a bit more into battles, but because of Lyra also understands that it's bonds with Pokemon that make them stronger. Kris likes to catch mons to help the professor, and is a mix between Lyra and Ethan.
>HoennBrendan is Norman's son, while May is Birch's daughter. May's not the best trainer, but tries to cheer Brendan on and look for new Pokemon and strategies on how to make them work, but she's not a good enough trainer to pull off these plans. Brendan, meanwhile, is reckless and adventurous, and wants to be like his dad, which is why he became a trainer. He uses May's battle strategies to make his mons the best they can be.
>SinnohDawn's the protagonist, she was at first more into contests, but Barry's ambitions lead her into a more battle-ready lifestyle. She's still a bit focused on cosmetics and vanities like using the right seals, Pokeball types, and performing in contests, but she's a more than competent battler on her own merit. Lucas is far more relaxed, and is more into hanging out at Amity Park with his Clefairy.
>UnovaHilbert and Rosa are the protagonists. Hilbert's a bit awkward, but he's got a heart of gold and an idealistic mindset, and Rosa's strange but a cult movie star and popular with everyone despite her oddities.
