I’m not shitting you, this fucker did the same thing to me with FRLG. I was grinding for Pikachus in Ruby and I was bitching about how all the Pokémon weren’t available. He pulls out LeafGreen and gives it to me. I shat.
That Gold play through and LG play through was some of the comfiest shit in my life. All true or may my soul be deleted from the AEther. Me and dude had falling out. I still have some of his Pokémon like a Milotic (he gave me because I couldn’t find Feebas, what a dude) and Tyranitar on my GBA carts. Those Pokémon are probably almost 20 years old.
