It’s easy to be bitter and pessimistic, but being positive and hopeful takes effort.
Being locked in my house and only leaving for my part time job at a gas station ruined my mental state. But I picked up a hobby and finally started writing, which really helped. Sure, sitting down and staying focused long enough to finish a 2,000+ word chapter is a pain, but hitting submit and seeing the total word count go up and thinking to myself “I did that” makes it all worth it in the end.
I’ve had an idea for the longest time for a reboot of the 1989 cartoon Captain N: The Game Master, which served as a huge video game crossover. Granted, I haven’t gotten to include Pokémon yet, but I’m making progress every week. I’m at over 125,000 words and I’m in part one of five. If that sounds neat to you, you can check it out here:
