Many use physical or special exclusively, rendering them weak to debuffs (from damaging moves; remember that shield blocks status moves). Knowing the moves also lets you know what types to avoid (sometimes they have unexpected move types, or lack a move type you thought you should avoid but is actually fine). It's also good to know when the stat resets happen (and thus when they'll stop happening).
For 4-star raids you can just sit back and watch, you won't lose at level 100. For 5-star raids don't worry too much either, you'll probably win as long as you don't drag the team down. For 6-star raids, your contribution is important, but remember above all to not die. It's better to do nothing than to get yourself KOed. (You can stall for 60 seconds before the game auto-uses your last move.) Remember you can always cheer if your moves seem pointless.
