Dear master.
I had been snared in a trap from people in black suits who were after my mother. I tried to get away, and kept pulling and pulling, and ended up leaving two tails behind in that trap as they drove my mother away. I wondered for days until that incident and I happen to have met you.
I remember that day so clearly, the day you were walking home from school and a boy had kept attacking me with his poliwag when I had stopped to rest on the bridge. Calling me a freak for not having 5 tails. You dropped your backpack and ran over and told him to stop. But before you could do anything, his poliwag had knocked me off the bridge, and into the river. It was pouring rain and I thought that would be the end of me.
But you, you jumped in after me and although you could barely swim, you forced me to the surface for air and blacked out holding me. I passed out, and when I came to, I ended up in your arms on the shore. Since that day, you were the first human who didn't make fun of me for being a Vulpix with only 3 tails instead of 5. In fact, you called it my charm.
That night you took me home, fed me, and tended to my wounds. At first I had no idea what you were doing, and the medicine stung. And I got snippy with you and ended up singeing some of your hair, but I gave in, and it made me feel a lot better.
And ever since then, I cuddled with you every night, and followed you to and from school. You even got me a pretty red scarf that winter to match yours.
The day your father handed you that red pokeball I called home, I couldn't have been more happy to claimed by you.
On your 12th birthday we set out on our own adventure. Your father was against it completely saying; "It's just not safe for a little girl to go out in the world alone!" But he looked at me, and I did the biggest flamethrower I could to show him I would protect you! And he petted me and said "Take good care of her."
