It's been an entire month, and I've had to spend a day or two planning for seven Team Magma grunts (before the bosses), but my Inclement Emerald Nuzlocke continues
I've also learned about something
In this game, you can buy the Eject Button, and you can use it to pivot and get a Pokemon in safely
For instance, this grunt's Scolipede has really good coverage, and came in against my Greninja
I U-turn out of there, into Golem to eat the Megahorn, activate Eject Button, and then I get to switch again and bring Dragonite in at full health, Multiscale in tact, to take on Scolipede
A Double Battle with the admins and a fight against Maxie who's got Groudon are next, so that's what I plan for now
>>56692796>I think pro nuzlockes' tend to overthink and play it too safe, something I also tend to doHonestly, I've had to as well
Even for things I should be super sure about (I have a Focus Sash to ensure my Pokemon can live something, I've had to calc just to be damn sure my +2 Cloyster can annihilate stuff)
And I do think the calcing and planning can be fun, but it's definitely pretty time consuming, because you need to be absolutely certain-- the second I try to wing anything, one of my Pokemon kicks the bucket
Also, re: SOS encounters, I personally think those should be barred since you're encountering say, the Carbink first
But if you encountered a dupe? Like if say you somehow already did have a Carbink? And they could summon call for a Pokemon that you don't have? If you're patient enough then I'd go for it
