We know damn well Gamefreak still has some random assets from the prototype on their computers, because they pulled some for the cover of this book. These files are very, very likely to have just been pulled off one of Gamefreak's computer. That's the only real explanation for why there are files from like five different builds (including a Pokemon Blue sprite, of all things).
