You might be right that dynamax at least requires timing and every pokemon has it so its unpredictable but its way to powerful of a gimmick, all battles revolve around it, it takes over the entire game theres not strategy that doesnt use it. Meanwhile mega's were pretty much just new powerful pokemon
Megas also suck though since they only gave it to certain pokemon. Not a lot of pokemon really benifited from the gimmick and would have been better off getting new forms, evolutions or stat buffs.
