I completely forgot this town existed, that there's an ice cave immediately to its north.. pretty much anything about it. That's not really the only thing I've forgotten about X/Y, but this one sorely sticks out.
Why is it that the 3D games are harder to remember than the 2D ones? I could draw you out a map of Kanto and Johto right now, and probably even start doing the individual floors of e.g. Rock Tunnel, but forget entire swaths of later regions (even ones I like, like Sinnoh).
We can talk about how forgettable Qwilfish is, but this is an entire order of magnitude more conspicuous.
