I always thought it was weird how specific they were with the idea that you were storing your pokemon in "someone's" PC, then you'd meet the creator of the storage system and the game from then on would specify that you're storing them in their PC. Why was that tidbit of worldbuilding needed? It would have been simpler not to explain where your mons are going. But in the present day, if you use a cloud service you really are storing your files in "someone's PC". I thought "Bill's PC" just meant that he was the creator of the system, but it makes a lot more sense to think he has a physical server somewhere where everyone's mons are stored. Maybe the server is in his secret garden?
