This Pokemon already has ass availability before it went full shillmon in Let's Go so you miss out on a lot of early-game friendship boosts. Maybe it's easier in modern games with curry and sandwiches, but I am going to lean on Pokemon who I can just reliably get to evolve through leveling or through a stone. Asking a lot to either usher me away from shiny new toys like Espathra or Armarouge or ol' reliables like Gardevoir or Gallade who have much more interesting movpeool diversity.
