It was a short-lived mechanic released in Gen 4. There were about 20 other cards that interacted with the Lost Zone, some that put your opponent's cards in there, or some that put your own cards in there. It was a one-way mechanic, in the sense that none of the cards could actually get you cards back from the Lost Zone, unlike in other TCG's analogous mechanics.
It was a very hyped mechanic, but saw limited competitive use.
