The harsh southern jungles play host to much biodiversity and is used by Rangers for training, while the climate and lush soil near the Spring Fields serves as the continent's breadbasket. The forests grow more hospitable as you go north, and when you reach the capital at the Evergreen you are surrounded by nature at its most beautiful, especially when you see the Mirage Axis's branches. The secret to finding and climbing the great tree is known only to the gym leader and her challengers.
The southern islands are known as the Sapphire Archipelago. Those wishing to hone their bodies, minds and spirits come to the relevant islands to be trained in the gyms. Shuiea is a central hub of shipping and business, but hosts also a rich mix of the islander's cultures, hosting the Storm Shrine and the islet chain where you find the Mirage Falls, raining constantly and where would need to learn the ritual to find the water gym.
