For me as a kid, my house was always cluttered and dirty. Basically my mom was a hoarder. I remember playing and looking through the piles of things and just seeing it as a "surprise treasure trove." So I think picking a pokemon like trubbish or koffing would fit. They both show up in messy homes and eat clutter.
I'll go with Trubbish. I love that once he makes friends he stops smelling(anime).
