I actually had this problem last time i played gsc and made this guide. Feel free to save it. It's crude but it works.
Also needing waterfall to get to the league sucked. I get it was to gate off people from getting there after morty but for some reason a lot fewer water types learned the move in gen 2. Feraligatr does not for instance.
