1) you didn't need a twitter around or even an email, it didn't even check IP addresses. The only thing it checked was cookies. So someone could get extra votes by reseting your history.
2) Rankings weren't weighted, the only thing that mattered is which vote a Pokemon had the most of at the time the poll ended. Example: A Pokemon with 300 D votes would rank higher than a Pokemon 249 A votes and 250 F votes because the second Poemon has most of its votes as F, the A votes don't matter at all. The only thing that matters which category a Pokemon happened to have the most of at the end of the poll.
Typhlosion causes so much seethe on vp that a handful of incels on vp waited until the last minute and botted the poll with a bunch of F votes for Typhlosion.
