Not XY as I don't own it yet, but I chained this guy the other day, and yesterday I chained a shiny Ralts (also Loney, why) on only a 3 or 4 chain, and while chaining Pichus ran into a NORMAL ODDS 1/8192 shiny in a normal patch of grass, nearly shit myself because as I saw it appear I went "huh, that looks kind of--SPARKLE????". After that I managed to reach 40 and for the first time ever while chaining, not immediately break it. Netted 9 shiny Pichus, 1 a natural encounter, and 2 are Modest because of the fainted Modest Ralts w/Synchronize in the front of my party.
10 shinies in one day. Absolutely retarded. Hope I can manage to do that on something else I want to chain so I can trade off some for other things when I can afford XY.
I still can't believe I ran into TWO low-odd shinies in one day. Happened once before, in FRLG. Ran into a shiny Graveler, then about an our later, a shiny Meowth. So strange...
