>>45908710Not as bad as this subreddit makes it to be, but nowadays, Game Freak has a habit of introducing intriguing concepts that they don’t go far enough with or utilize properly. Definitely better than the time they came up with those god awful Mega evolutions, what a joke of a feature that overstayed its welcome.
With that said, from my observation, Game Freak has one thing in common with Bethesda; they always address the biggest issues of current games in the next installment, but in turn create a whole set of new problems that make certain fans reminisce about how the older games were “better”. I honestly doubt there will ever be a perfect Pokemon game, but there’s room to chisel down the cons so they don’t take the spotlight from the pros.
