Pokémon Let's Go Umbreon and Let's Go Espeon Information
Hello, I am a translator from GameFreak. The recent Pokémon Presents raised speculation for the new and up-coming Pokémon games, Pokémon Let's Go Umbreon and Pokémon Let's Go Espeon. People speculated because of the plushes and games Tsunekazu Ishihara had behind him, which included an Umbreon and an Espeon in front of Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee. I can confirm that these games are in fact happening. I will now tell you about some features of these new games.
>The games take place in Johto and are like HeartGold and SoulSilver remakes.
>The first Pokémon in your party will follow you, similar to the style of Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee. Luckily, it's not like the Isle of Armor following style.
>Your starter Pokémon is an Eevee, given to you as an egg by Professor Elm. It's given to you very close to hatching, so it hatches quickly.
>Your Eevee will evolve into Espeon or Umbreon depending on which version of the game you have, and the evolution is version locked by original game (eg, if you get traded an Eevee originally from Let's Go Umbreon, into Let's Go Espeon, it will evolve into an Umbreon.
>Kanto is a big part of the postgame, and you meet both Red and Blue atop Mt. Silver at the very end of the postgame and you have a double battle with them with your rival.
>All Pokémon up to the end of Gen 2 (Bulbasaur through Celebi) will appear in the game, and the number of catchable Pokémon is a lot higher than the number of non-catchable Pokémon.
>There are not a lot of dialogue edits from the original HeartGold and SoulSilver, mostly everything is copied except from the style of play, which of course has been adapted to the Let's Go style.
I am fairly certain that these games will be announced in the Pokémon Presents on the 24th, but GameFreak haven't told me anything so I'm not 100% sure.
