The prompt for the waifumons was just waifu bait so I took the opportunity to get pretty surreal with them. I wanted to do something aesthetic and tried many iterations of statues, cubes, auras and slices, and ended up with these things, bonsai cherry trees which have grown through discarded mannequin parts in an attempt to become like a beautiful human. Also inspiration from nagas/dryads/mermaids, the Venus de milo, and artists wooden figures. Hope they don't cross over too hard into overly weird!
For the squids I cut the middle stage, kinda felt like it just existed, shunted the third stage to the middle and made a space for a new final stage, since the prompt was squid kaiju and none of the designs were kaiju at all. Third stage is going to work in a little cthulhu /mind flayer! I decided to go mostly with the first design, since a lava lamp squid, while awesome, seemed redundant when we already had a lava squid, but I used the cool eyes and incorporated the tentacle light tips, seemed sensible for a caver octopus.
