It's not like in BW, where the regional dex was both sizable and 100% new pokemon, and only excluded old pokemon until postgame, where you could then go hog wild and bring in anything you wanted. This is a regional dex that will likely be 60-75% arbitrarily chosen old pokemon with a decent handful of new families, and everything not in that dex is barred entry until further notice. Even SM, which was too lazy to even include a national dex in the first place, still didn't keep you from bringing in whatever pokemon you liked through Bank.
Why? What's the point? It's not like GF hasn't already recycled the fuck out their assets, they made futureproof models with that express purpose in mind. Did they bring in a bunch of interns who don't know how to copy/paste like they've been doing for the last 20 years? I just don't understand. I expected nothing and I somehow got less.
