When you look for evidence of aragonite precipitation under SEM, you look for elongate, bladed crystals in contrast to the rhombohedral crystals indicative of calcite. The microstructure of aragonite looks like pic related. When a large enough sample is viewed with the naked eye, it resembles the texture of a mollusk's shell or coral skeleton. I'm only doing this because you type like a zoomer and called me a crystal healer.
