One of the main reasons I began writing about dark types was to shift the perspective away from something I had long focused on, to the natural enemy of that type. Originally, my ambition was to write the other side’s point of view considering how much psychics shun dark types. However, to my surprise, the idea turned into an entire story centering around the so-called “evil type” or dae. And of course there's knifecat.
Ghosts have also been a reoccurring type in my stories. Ghosts capture a different element of supernatural compared to psys, dae, or fae. They’re straight-up undead. That’s something special and carries huge implications, but saying more would possibly lead to spoils. The supernatural field as I write it is a pentagram of psychic, ghost, dark, fairy, and dragon.
On a personal note, I like grass types. Plants are interesting when you give them cognition as Mimiga said

Style-wise, Pokémon based off reptiles are awesome for battle scenes. Fire-breathing lizards, earthen crocodiles, and water alligators are three of my favorite designs. They lend themselves well to a major confrontation or brutal brawl. I never grew out of my Godzilla phase.
>TL;DR my 8 are:Psychic, Dark, Ghost, Fairy, Grass, Fire, Ground, and Water.
