I get that the resurgence of trying to emulate this style might coincide with Cuphead's success and some might see that as a hollow imitation of the animation of yore but I find that kind of attitude is cynical in these times when being experimental with modern animation let alone a brand that went from Japanese to International brand with a Japanese homebase is still shaking things up. It's on a Kids YouTube so it's not like they're not doing their job if the work doesn't please you and yet if an older audience appreciates this, it still shows they're doing something right.
You're well within your right not to like it and to criticize it, but that in itself doesn't mean others should feel bad for liking it.
