I don't understand why they did this to Cal, In older versions of Reborn he was just some dude you met while at Aphopyll and while I can appreciate them trying to tie the story together a bit better I think making him an absolutely retard who does everything wrong and then tries to get pity out of the player really fucking stupid, granted this is Reborn we're talking about, so the writing being shit isn't surprising.
