>>52993793Wait what was suggestive about that.
>>52993796Yeah admittedly in all my drafts and plans for writing with Latias, I always conceived of things being difficult and a bit sad for her after her brother died. Leading to issues that eventually need Ash to return to be solved (or something to that effect).
I'm going to use this excuse to ramble about my current writing
My current draft has Latias trying to fill the same role as her brother (quiet, distant protector, who remains overly careful in protecting not only the city but the secret of her existence). Of course, this approach doesn't work for her in the slightest. Latias is an outgoing, social animal, she can't handle the monotony of just patrolling the city, and most of all, she needs friends (which is even harder with Bianca out of Alto Mare so often nowadays for school). The obvious answer is that Latias needs to "move out". Nothing ever happens in Alto Mare that needs her, so it's not like her job of guardian is really holding her down. Yet, she's too scared of the possibility of something happening she can't even consider it. Bianca notices this of course, she knows Latias leaving would be best for her, but after losing Latios she can't handle the idea of losing Latias too. So she doesn't say anything.
That's the status quo until Ash comes back, just for a visit, and both Latias and Bianca realize the best path forward is a difficult one: Latias going on an adventure with Ash. To grow stronger, lose her fear of capture or harm, and finally grow into the person she's meant to be.
