Grass/Electric, a Qilin/Giraffe topiary sculpture with a blackened lightning struck tree trunk for a neck/head. An HP heavy pokemon with moves like Double Edge, and Wild Charge mixed with Leech Seed and/or Engrain, Leech Horn, and Parabolic Charge.

Fire/Poison, bat-out-of-hell into vampire line with some ample access to ghost and dark moves and a spot of flying for good measure. A cloud of dark smoke with bat wings poking out and burning eyes visible thru the smoke; a grounded cloak of smoke wrapped around faint embers, still has burning eyes; and then a slender somewhat dignified humanoid bat with wings wrapped up like a cape. Smoldir(Smolder+Dhampir)→Extorpor(Extinguish+Torpor)→Nosflaratu(Nosferatu+Flare)

The Water/Psychic many-armed/tentacled bodhisattva squid is an overused typing, but it balanced the set out.

Subsequently a Fire/Poison bat starter from before Salandit was revealed. Smog cloud with batwings and flaming eyes, into grounded smog cloak with glowing ember body, into draculoid manbat. Smoldhir, Extorpor, Nosflaratu

and Water/psychic; Cuttlefish into meditating humanoid squid into a many-armed bodhisattva, all with a third eye motif. Cuttlyte, Theosofish, Krakenlite

As far as the Butterfree/Beedrill, good bug/bad bug dynamic goes: A Bug/Psychic butterfly with big false eye wing patterns and a Bug/Dark botfly. The eye spots vary by IVs.

For regional early bird; a canadian goose. Less about speed and more about attack. Give it Bite/Crunch and the Elemental Fang moves for some weird coverage.

The normal type "Rat," although it'd seem a little done at this point, would be a little stoat with confusion and stat upping moves to mimic the weasel war dance.

3stage psychic would be an actual ballerina, instead of kirlia's halfassed shit. Pile on the gimmicky thematically appropriate moves like rapid spin, acrobatics, bounce, u-turn, round, false tears, attract/captivate, etc...

I really don't think there being a 3stage ghost is a niche. But maybe a ghost light like the sort that show up in hoax photos that evolves into a light being kind of like a reverse silhouette like that cliche alien's coming out of their ship scene. Make it ghost psychic.

Nix fossils all together, twist the gimmick into version exclusive cryptids all with a fairy typing. Starting with Mothman and Chupacabra. Flying and Dark respectively.

merge the kaiju with the magne/klink niche with a little touch of stuffle to get a windup toy that turns into a mech

I figure Grass/Electric and Water/Psychic are givens, with Grass dabbling in a few Dragon moves for thematic purposes. But it's the Fire I can't nail down. At first, before Salandit and Salazzle happened, I was certain I wanted Fire/Poison foe the unique typing, but now I'm not so sure, and it was bound to have a mix of Poison, Dark, and Ghost moves anyway. Fire/Dark would work well given the distinctly villainous nature of the vampire theme, as well as STAB on moves like Night Slash and Bite/Crunch, but now it steps on toes with Houndoom and Incineroar. Fire/Ghost wouldn't be bad either, and having Hex on a Fire Pokemon is great, plus most of the more supernatural monster themed moves would be Ghost rather than Dark type (Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Nightshade, Nightmare, Ominous Wind, etc...)
