Basically the opposite of the cold and introverted people of Tokyo.

Kyoto is somewhere in between, highly educated but somewhat snobbish.

I like how one comedian summed it up with a bit of extra money: someone in Osaka would spend it on food, someone in Kyoto would spend it on clothes, someone in Tokyo would spend it on a weird fetish.
