>>35479727You say it's not an ego thing, but that doesn't necessarily make it so. You're presuming ulterior motives on critique when really they're giving ideas of how you can improve your work or make more interesting artistic choices. It's your choice whether to follow it or not.
And people can make stupid choices out of self respect or pride, which by the way isn't the objective high road. People choose to go hungry or refuse medical treatment out of self respect or dignity too.
