Gen 1 and 4 are still better, if we're talking final stages. 7 is massively overhated just cause they're jobmon, I think all their silhouettes and more importantly middle stages work really well- which is impressive cause not everyone does that well. Gen 4's final evolutions are amazing but they might be the most uncharismatic dogshit middle evos I've ever seen.
The most you can say that's weird is how drastic Torracat to Incineroar is. They make it a little bulkier than Litten but it's still not enough. Maybe they added the gray or made it stand up a little more.
