I wasn't clear, so to reiterate: it removed fairy, restored normal type to some mons. Added "aether" type that's offensively strong against nothing, offensively weak to poison, dark, aether, resists flying, ground, fire, water, aether and weak to dark and poison. It seems to me it's supposed to function like fairy, but addressing more types that have good neutral coverage and in the process gives an unneeded offensive buff to dark.
