I'm rather simple and straightforward, most of my favourites come down to being goofy or ugly-cute in my eyes and I especially love it when a goofball base stage evolves into something more serious/elegant but still retains some of that silly charm.
>Linoone line
Even as a wee lad, they've always appealed to me in the very most basic sense possible - there was never any particular reason for why I loved them. Nowadays their design concepts are my favourite in the series and in my opinion one of the most cleanly implemented themes in regards to the designs.
>Primarina line
Mainly, I just fucking love pinnipeds and that the whole line are playful idiots. All the themes behind the lines are perfectly developed throughout each stage while the designs still retain their own identities, I was waiting for a water starter to commit to bubbles as weapons and I find each stage very visually satisfying. Primarina can also have an uncanny, creepy vibe in the right situations and that just adds onto its appeal for me.
>Swanna line
I love designs with unreadable expressions and these two have such blank looking eyes that are complemented by their silly behavioural traits. Swanna's probably the design I find most beautiful overall in spite of it, though I guess that just comes naturally with being a swan.
>Heatmor
Fairly unreadable expression and I find its ugliness super endearing. Love the flame-covered tongue concept and the world-building relationship towards Durant.
>Chesnaught line
The whole line is just really goofy and each stage feels fresh while still connected. Would love to hug them all for different reasons.
>Skuntank line
Got a huge fondness for skunks, they're super uggo and the tank inspiration for Skuntank is fun. Cannon-like mohawk tail is just so stupidly delightful.
