Tyranitar obviously has a better ability and better special bulk, but Metagross has an immunity, 1 4x resist, 8 2x resist, and only 4 weakness (and no 4x weakness). He outspeeds him and has marginally better Attack. He still resists Stealth Rocks.
Does it mainly come down to the ability? In a meta with lots of Drizzle and Drought pokemon does Metagross become better than Tyranitar (or is TTar even better because he turns off their weather)?
