The redesign is terrifying and doesn't add any realism. It would have been just as fake but still WAY better if they just gave the original design realistic textures.
And who the fuck thought doing Robotnik as just Jim Carrey for most of the movie would be a good idea? Like, they even seem to know his redesign is shit since they show a shot of him looking WAY better at the last frame of the trailer, but I bet taht shot is from literally the end of the movie.
The whole thing looks awful.
