It's an argument made from emotion. A shiny found intentionally is no different from a shiny found accidentally. Luck and rarity are two sides of the same coin; one person might hatch a shiny within 10 eggs, another person might need to hatch 10000. Is the second person less lucky because it took more eggs before he hatched a shiny? If he is, then your argument is pointless.
