Venusaur actually doesn't look bad, it's just currently handled by a shitty artist.

it's a pocket "monster" not a cute kawaii monster, not a bara monster, not a Digimon, it's a monster, and that's how monsters would look like.

Of course that's opinionated and it being ugly is true, but it's not on a very bad level of ugliness. Ivysaur is god though, enough reason to like the starter family line.

I loved Venusaur in this manga. It looked best in here. But that Yamamoto ruined his rendition to something shit-Sugimori-tier.

The reason why I hate Shitimori is that he always makes Venusaur looks ugly af while other artists do much better than him. Worst thing? he's proud of himself being shit at drawing his own creation.
