Beat Brock! I remembered Hypnosis + Sub Vulpix but Swagger Onix totally slipped my mind. The combination of Oddish + Poliwag was too good. Also, I swear he had a Lileep before so thankfully that never showed up.

Alternatively, I think a good strategy for taking on Norman would be to spam Sand Attack on one of his weaker mons then Howl up to get stronger hits. Unfortunately, Slaking is stupid and has Counter so you should try attacking it on the Truant turns.
Grinding Marshtomp -> Swampert also sounds like a good idea.
