>>21136809I don't know if this counts as having a tie to Ash, but Ho-Oh has always been interesting. It hasn't had any other role in the anime aside from being a sort of divine guidance. I think there is potential in a Ho-Oh storyline, but I can't really come up with how it could escalate into Ash catching it.
