However, someone from another universe is setting Ultra Beasts wild on the island in an attempt to sabotage the tournament from starting. The trainers are forced to travel through Ultra Space to find who's doing this and why. They travel to alternate versions of the world - not just the UB worlds, but also worlds where the villains won.
