I want to hate it. Lack of diverse pokémon made it very unsettling for me. It was pretty much all unova plus like 3 from each gen, not including Eevees. They took out the personality quiz and put in some (personally) unlikable choices for characters. Everyone was gender neural and I surprisingly miss the hunger system. It gave exploring a sense of urgency.
But I really want to like it. The score is STELLAR and the story IS solid, much to my dismay. It was a moderate difficulty as well.
So I am at this weird middle ground with this game. I haven't finished it yet, but I hope they do with the old formula.
