In gen 7 you could get away with fucking about with varied teams if you knew what you were doing, but this gen it's nothing but sweepers, Ferropex, and Ditto. Stalest it's ever been. I'm not gonna bother with it until they sort out the tiers so I can actually see some original team composition.
I mean hell, it doesn't even strictly have to do with cutting 62% of the dex, you could still have a good meta with 38% of the Pokemon, but the choices they made are fucking nonsense, it's obvious that zero consideration into balance was made, it's all just been plucked at random.
