SwSh and SM bother me because I know they had potential to be really good and fun experiences. They had good plot and great characters. The gameplay however, felt too restrictive and the routes to linear. They were acceptable but a lot of their criticisms are valid. Despite how much i dislike the look BDSP it was smart of the pokemon company to have another studio develop it to give game freak more time for whatever the next main line thing is. Arceus looks interesting but a long way off from actually being done. I feel like they need to slow down and give the devs more time to work on the main line games. More side games that aren't just cash grabs might actually help.
