>>53654807>36>Red on a black and white GameBoy Pocket>Scarlet and Violet>XYPlayed Y first. Music was top notch. Very cozy region. The intro into the legendary battle blew my mind. I became obsessed with wonder trading. Loved being able to buy Premier Balls at normal prices. Going from the grind of the old games, it was like a drug to have the exp share. The whole game felt like a power fantasy in terms of level design. I love that the region is basically a walk through the seasons. Also, character customization was hype.
>ORASPlayed Alpha Sapphire first. A solid game. The Delta Episode was insanely hype. I cannot overstate my feelings on this one. A battle in space, catching two legendaries in a row… wow. It was the first time I felt compelled to use the Master Ball. Soaring was crazy. I loved that they included megas and primal forms. The last game I played in my school days was Sapphire. Alpha Sapphire was a great remake and brought together classic Pokémon and the changes introduced by XY.
>Sun and MoonPlayed Sun first. Was also the first 3D game where I wanted to play as myself (I played using the female models for the other two since I didn’t like the male models). This game had PERFECT level balancing with the exp share on. I played blind and always felt challenged. The championship battle was down to one move. Props to all the people that balanced and play-tested this game.
The story was great. I loved Lillie’s growth. Character customization was still good. Didn’t like the Rotom lower screen. Hated festival plaza (the PSS was perfect!). Credits were good, but too long.
>USUMPlayed Ultra Moon first. Level curve was destroyed by BS Necrozma fight. Ended up cheesing the fight with toxic Mimikyu. Didn’t feel satisfied. Put down the game and haven’t finished it. Hated what they did to Lillie’s character.
Hitting the text limit, so I’ll summarize that the Switch games, except BDSP, have continued to improve in story and gameplay
