Autist retard with comparable knlowlege of 3d modeling/animation, and 2d art/illustration. Basic understanding of coding, could definitely teach myself. All skills have been self taught so far, and I'm good at picking up new things.
With that info, what do you think would be the biggest potential roadblocks to remaking platinum in a modern engine? It would obviously involve recreating all the systems for how pokemon data is stored/called for, etc, all the logic for battles and the math the actual series uses, and I could see actually importing all of the pokemon models/animations/assets being a pain.
I know that they're already at least ripped online, though whether they are ready to implement would be another question. Like if their skeleton/weight info was ripped properly, or ALL of the animations and things were ripped. I'm ok with piecing some of this stuff back together/cleaning it up by hand, but if I have to do it for every single pokemon, that would cut too much into time that I'd be able to spend actually developing the game (modeling assets, putting the engine together)
What might possibly be the biggest pitfalls I haven't yet considered?
