Additionally, Kyurem's base stat total is 660, just twenty off of the rest of the trio's shared base 680, as if there are points lost for the two thirds of the original monster that are missing. And yet, black and white Kyurem surpass all of the creation trio with base stats of 700-- just how powerful was the original? I'd wager around 740 (forty points from both Reshiram and Zekrom respectively, based on how Kyurem's stats change when one of them is added), which is stronger than Arceus and beat only by an Ultra beast, primal, and mega Pokemon. Is that sheer strength perhaps the reason the dragon had to split apart? All this speculation makes Kyurem very hard not to love.
