Cursola and Ice Darmanitan are two of my favorite new pokemon, and I like the idea of regional variants in general, but I wish it didn't mean that we're probably never getting normal crossgen evos again. Like others have mentioned, some pokemon would benefit more from a non-regional evolution. In particular, I'd prefer to see more two-stage pokemon get a third evo rather than a second branching two stage but I guess they're not allowed to do more of those since it was gen 4's gimmick and so many people hated most of the results.
