Juliana was born to Juniper and Marigold Scarlet, alongside their twin brother Florian. They were born as a female, but around the age of ten they began using they/them pronouns, after struggling with their gender identity as a child. Juniper and Marigold divorced while Florian and Juliana were around seven years old, with Juniper taking custody of Florian and Marigold of Juliana. Marigold began using her maiden name of "Violet" for both her and Juliana.
