>>36331919I'm just gonna rant for a bit. Burmy is, without a doubt, the biggest mistake of a Bug type to ever taint the series. Let me lay it out for you all:
It's only found in the grass in XY on a route that has all of 3-4 tiles of grass you can get safe patches of shaking grass on, honey trees in gen 4 which are also luck based, or Berry trees in XY (lol). It also has 7 different forms (that's almost 25% of a PC box) for a 3 part line, and a split evo that's gender specific because this pokemon wasn't shitty enough. When you chain for it, the ONLY motherfucking move it knows is Protect, but hey, you can just bring Feint, right? Well guess what, no Cute Charm pokemon get Feint, so every time you want to chain you gotta get your Cute Charm lead killed off, after all you need THREE female shinies, and the last thing you want is to end up with 5 male shinies because that'd mean hunting for an eighth shiny. By the way, Feint has only 16PP, so you just went from having like 100PP to 16PP, hope you like using Leppa Berries constantly.
You can breed for it, but since you need 7 of them, you're basically going to be channeling Combeefag. The 538 boxes he did? Well, now imagine it's for some ugly piece of shit, and you need 7 of them, but also that you have to pray you get at least 3 females, but at least one male shiny. Sure, you can Karp Swap to get some other shiny if things go wrong, but by the time you get all your fucking worms, your circle pad will probably be looser than a whore in Vegas and there goes your 3ds, have fun paying Nintendo like $90 to fix it.
And after you've got your shinies, what do you have? You have a worthless piece of deadweight who's only notable "feature" is that it's got 3 different forms for two of its evo stages, and all of them are worthless. At least if I was hunting Dewpider I could get some cool Metroid looking spider, but with Burmy? It's a bush, an absolutely useless one at that.
