In fact I use him in my mono grass, it's mega practically fulfills an obligatory spot.I don't care Blastoise can't even kill a fucking mosquito with his cannons, he looks badass. Although Ivysaur is still better than the tank turtle because it manages to look both badass and cute.
Also, I'm waiting for that fire starter turtle, it's pretty much guaranteed to be the best fire starter.
