And, as for the friends in college thing, do be careful. I won't be the kind to urge you to get friends, because I know it can be hard for some people or even seem pointless at times (me included). I also went for a year in college without making friends. While I managed that well, I also committed the mistake of attempting to completely isolate myself since my lack of friends made me think I could basically engage in a hermit-like lifestyle outside of going to class, even from sporadic human interaction. I ended up falling into constant minor psychoses after a couple of months, and if not for the fact that I switched schools, I don't even know what could have happened (I was later diagnosed with schizoid, where I found out the condition makes you particular vulnerable to psychosis episodes when under pronounced isolation).
